Offense is a secondary skill that increases all hand-to-hand damage caused by allied creatures in hero's army. As opposed to slightly misleading in-game skill description Offense increases the base damage by 10%, 20% or 30% depending on the level of the skill. This does not mean that the total damage (final damage) is necessarily increased by the same percentage, as it might also be increased by other factors, such as high Attack skill - compare damage formula.
Heroes with Offense (basic) as a starting skill:
- All Barbarians start with Basic Offense except Crag Hack and Kilgor, who start with Advanced.

Comparison to Attack skill
This table shows how much extra Attack skill would need the hero of attacking unit have, in order to reach the same effect in damage increasing as with the Offense skill ( = how much is the Offense skill worth in terms of attack), assuming no other damage modifiers.
