Nearly fifteen years ago, Dessa's entire village was wiped out in a massacre at the hands of human marauders. Dessa was one of six children who survived. Since then he has dreamed of one day paying back the humans for their crime.

Specialty

Dessa is one of three heroes with Logistics as a specialty, the other two being Kyrre and Gunnar.

Note that the Logistics specialty bonus is affecting the Logistics secondary skill bonus, not the total amount of MP. So the bonus only applies if the hero has the logistics skill (which Dessa/Kyrre/Gunnar already have unless edited out through map editor).

Example: Hero with 11+ monster speed will have 2000 movement points. With expert logistics, hero will have 2600 movement points. Level 20 Dessa/Kyrre/Gunnar will have 30%+(30%*0.05)*20=60% (20%+(20%*0.05)*20=40% in 深渊号角) additional movement points, meaning 3200 (2800 in 深渊号角).

Like two other heroes Kyrre and Gunnar who specialize in Logistics, Dessa can travel on the Adventure Map further than any normal hero. In fact, the Logistics specialty is so powerful, that it is typically banned in multiplayer games and tournaments. As a Battle Mage, Dessa is offered a good balance between pure strength and magical prowess, and if Logistics specialty is not banned, Dessa is definitely one of the most powerful heroes in Heroes of Might and Magic III.
