Introduced in 末日之刃 and also available in 死亡阴影. Sir Mullich's name and portrait are based on David Mullich, the project manager of the development team in Heroes of Might and Magic III.

Original (official) portrait of Sir Mullich.

In the unofficial mod expansion Horn of the Abyss , Lord Haart - 骑士 replaces Sir Mullich by default. This is probably for balance reasons since the speed bonus of Sir Mullich was considered extremely strong. You can read more here.

Besides being replaced in the hero roster because of the overpowered nature of his "specialty", the Sir Mullich portrait was substitued with a more stylized one. The original one was based on a real-life picture of David Mullich and looked pixelated.

Hero's movement points

Unlike creature specialty speed bonus of other heroes, Sir Mullich specialty does not affect the hero's movement points in the adventure map.

Sir Mullich is arguably one the best heroes in the game as his specialty gives all creatures +2 to speed, and speed and initiative are key features to win a battle.

In addition, starting with Advanced Leadership gives all creatures +2 morale, further increasing total effective movement and giving extra opportunities to attack more.

If Sir Mullich manages to acquire Cape of Velocity, Ring of the Wayfarer and Necklace of Swiftness artifacts, the speed of all his troops is increased by +6. Combined with (expert) Haste or Prayer almost any creature can move across entire battlefield in one combat round.
